Patent professional since 2025, with Espatent since 2025.
I was introduced to the patent field many years ago, through close and long-standing exposure to people working in the profession. Throughout my studies, my passion for science and curiosity about the intersection of research, law and business naturally led me to a career in patent law, driven by a desire to see how innovation is developed and protected. In the spring of 2025, I began my own journey in the field when I joined Espatent.
My background is in chemistry, with a focus on synthetic and analytical chemistry. Before joining Espatent, I worked in biomolecular chemistry research at the University of Helsinki, specializing in the synthesis of tear film lipid libraries to support the development of improved diagnostics and treatments for ocular surface diseases.
The interdisciplinary nature of my studies has equipped me to navigate diverse technical fields and rapidly understand new technologies. At Espatent, this has enabled me to work across a wide range of technologies, including nanomaterials, pulp processing, water treatment, renewable refining, semiconductor technology, and nutrition, among others.
I am drawn to the opportunity to learn from experts across a variety of fields while contributing to the protection and advancement of scientific innovation.
