Henrike Hartung

I joined Espatent with a strong motivation to work in the field of innovation. I am fascinated by the cutting-edge solutions as well as the variety of inventions from very different fields I am helping to protect.

Prior to joining Espatent, I built an international track record in academic research. I graduated with a D.Phil. in Neuroscience from the University of Oxford, UK in Feb 2009 and obtained docentship (adjunct professor) in Neuroscience from the University of Helsinki in 2018. I was also awarded grant funding to build up and lead my own research group for investigating the developmental origin of neuropsychiatric disorders by recording and analysing neuronal network activity.

At Espatent I mainly work in the fields of biotechnology and life sciences. My extensive research experience, strong analytical skills and broad knowledge in biology combined with my ability to quickly grasp new concepts help me to better understand the research and development behind an invention. I enjoy communicating with clients and developing strategies how best to protect their inventions based on the client’s needs.
